Those of us on the other end of the time line several timescales ahead of the USA will have to wait until Wednesday morning to find out whether the citizens of the United States of America have decided to move forward with President Obama or to slip back to the fumbling, bumbling elitist Republicans...

Those of us who know the American people have no doubt that the intelligent choice, nay the only choice, will be made since only four years ago, the Republican regime of George W. Bush sent the United States of America and the economy of the rest of the world sliding into the abyss as it pandered to the whims of the super-rich elitists which gravitate around that party and neuter the occupant of the White House before he can sit down in the Oval Office.

Four years ago, the United States was gripped by a vice of incompetence and corporate greed, as the likes of Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld and their cronies played political games at the expense of their hard-working citizens and nearly sent toe citizens of the world to Hades by trying to start world war three.

When I catch my reflection in a mirror, I look not unlike an astronaut. A stiff, bulky bodysuit covers me from neck to ankle; thick white gloves protect my hands; my head is concealed beneath a sturdy silver helmet. A visor is secured over my eyes: everything is covered.

Under the suit I am also wearing a vest that is rigid and heavy like a Kevlar jacket, and straps that fasten tightly over my knees and ankles. As I extend one tightly swaddled leg in front of the other, I can’t help but imagine that I am beginning the solemn walk towards some distant launch-pad. But this is not space travel. This, in its own way, is time travel.

กรุงเทพฯ 1 มิ.ย. - ท้องฟ้าจำลองกรุงเทพ จัดกิจกรรมชมปรากฏการณ์แห่งศตวรรษ "ดาวศุกร์ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์" วันพุธที่ 6 มิถุนายนนี้ 08.00-12.00 น.หากพลาดชมครั้งนี้ไม่มีโอกาสได้เห็น เพราะต้องรออีกกว่า 100 ปี นายสุรนันท์ ศุภวรรณกิจ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อการศึกษา ท้องฟ้าจำลองกรุงเทพ เปิดเผยว่า ท้องฟ้าจำลองฯ จัดกิจกรรมตั้งกล้องสังเกต "ดาวศุกร์ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์" ในวันพุธที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2555  ตั้งแต่เวลา 08.00 – 12.00 น.ฟรี ซึ่งปรากฏการณ์ดาวศุกร์ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในครั้งนี้ไม่ควรพลาด เพราะหลังจากครั้งนี้ คนบนโลกใบนี้รวมทั้งชาวไทยที่มีชีวิตอยู่ในปัจจุบันจะไม่มีโอกาสได้เห็นปรากฏการณ์ดาวศุกร์ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์อีกเลย เพราะต้องรอเวลาถึง 105.5 ปี ดาวศุกร์ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์จึงจะเกิดขึ้นอีก นั่นคือวันที่ 11 ธันวาคม 2660 และ 8 ธันวาคม 2668 ดาวศุกร์ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์เป็นปรากฏการณ์เมื่อดาวศุกร์โคจรเคลื่อนที่เข้ามาอยู่ในแนวระหว่างโลกกับดวงอาทิตย์ คนบนโลกจึงมีโอกาสเห็นดาวศุกร์ปรากฏเป็นดวงกลมขนาดเล็กๆ สีดำเคลื่อนที่อย่างช้าๆ ผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์ไป ซึ่งเป็นปรากฏการณ์ดาราศาสตร์ที่เกิดเป็นคู่ๆ มีระยะเวลาภายในคู่ห่างกัน 8 ปี แต่ละคู่มีระยะเวลาห่างกัน 105.5 หรือ 121.5 ปี ล่าสุดเกิดเมื่อวันที่ 8 มิถุนายน 2547  เห็นได้ในประเทศไทย และครั้งที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นในวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2555  นี้ เป็นครั้งที่ 2 ในรอบ 100 ปีที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งเป็นคู่ของเมื่อวันที่ 8 มิถุนายน 2547 นั่นเอง สำหรับช่วงเวลาการเกิดปรากฏการณ์ดังกล่าว จะเริ่มตั้งแต่เวลา 05.10 น. ตามเวลาในประเทศไทย แต่ยังจะมองไม่เห็นจนกระทั่งดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้นมาจากขอบฟ้าตะวันออกจะสังเกตเห็นดาวศุกร์เป็นจุดดำเล็กๆ อยู่ในดวงอาทิตย์ ใกล้ๆ ขอบดวงอาทิตย์ด้านซ้ายล่าง และดาวศุกร์เคลื่อนผ่านหน้าอย่างช้าๆ ต่อมาอีกราว 6 ชั่วโมง จึงผ่านหน้าดวงอาทิตย์พ้นไปและจะสิ้นสุดในเวลาประมาณ 11.50 น. ขนาดเชิงมุมเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางดาวศุกร์ปรากฏเล็กมากเพียง 1 ใน 30 ของเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางปรากฏดวงอาทิตย์เท่านั้น การสังเกตปรากฏการณ์ห้ามมองไปยังดวงอาทิตย์ด้วยตาเปล่า เพราะอาจทำให้นัยน์ตาสูญเสียการมองเห็น เกิดอาการตามืดบอดไปชั่วขณะ และอาจเกิดการบาดเจ็บในดวงตาได้ จึงจำเป็นต้องใช้แผ่นกรองแสงอาทิตย์ปิดบังดวงตาก่อนและไม่ควรสังเกตนาน.- สำนักข่าวไทย

การศึกษาเป็นสิ่งทีสำคัญจริงๆ และการให้โอกาสที่ผิดพลาดก็เป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญยิ่่งกว่า บางท่านตระหนักรู้ตระหนักดูแต่เนื้อหา แต่มิได้คิดพิจารณาจากข้อสังเกตข้อสงสัย ข้อวิจารณ์ ความคิดเห็น ยึดมั่นแต่เนื้อนั้น จนลืมไปว่า อีกบางท่านอยากจะให้ตระหนักถึงอะไร ปัญหาอะไร จะแก้ไขได้ไหม   เนื่องจากปัญหาการเมืองของบางประเทศที่ยังมีผู้คนที่ด้อยโอกาศ ที่เมื่อรับโอกาศแล้วยังให้โอกาสแก่พรรคพวกตนหรือปัญหาพวกพ้อง การคอรัปชั้่น กลายเป็นปัญหาความยากจนต่อเนื่อง เนื่องจากคนจนกับคนที่เคยจนกับคนที่ด้อยโอกาศกับคนที่ได้โอกาสจากความ ที่เคยได้โอกาสจากความจนก็คอยช่วยเหลือแต่พวกพ้องตนที่ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงแหล่งทุนได้เหมือนกับผู้มีทรัพย์สินบางท่านที่ไม่ต้องมีข้อต่อสู้ที่ได้เปรียบแต่ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงแหล่งทุนราคาถูกได้ เพราะโดนสถาบันรวมหัวกันฉวยโอกาสสร้างเงื่อนไขในการเข้าถึงสินเชื่อราคาถูกแบบไม่มีเงื่อนไขไม่มีอายุความเพื่อบีบให้กฏหมายผู้บริโภคเป็นแค่สากกระเบือที่คุ้มครองแต่สถาบันการเงินที่เอาข้อมูลทุกอย่างของผู้ขอเข้าแหล่งทุนไปเป็นข้อมูลทางการตลาดโดยไม่คืนข้อมูลหลักฐานเอกสารใดๆ ไม่มีเอกสารกำกับติดตามได้กับบริษัทลูกที่หากินกับข้อมูลที่ไม่มีหลักฐานอ้างอิงเอาเปรียบข้อมูลส่วนตัวของผู้บริโภค ขอให้บริษัทแม่ของมันในตลาดหลักทรัพย์จงฉิบหาย ขอให้ผู้ถือหุ้นใหญ่เล็กมีอันเป็นไปให้หมดสิ้น ไม่รู้มันเป็นสถาบันการเงินใดที่มีสีเหลืองๆทองๆ และเป็นสถาบันการเงินประเภทนี้แห่งแรกของประเทศอะไรก็ไม่รู้ที่มีประชาธิปไตยแค่ในกระดาษ เพราะการที่จะมามีการกระจายอำนาจอย่างแท้จริงมันเรื่องโกหก ฝ่ายตรวจสอบกำกับป้องปรามเหมือนผีอุดปาก เพราะใครจะยอมปล่อยงบประมาณมหาศาลอันมาจากภาษีอากรของประชาชนให้หลุดออกไปจากส่วนกลาง ความเจริญมันต้องอยู่ที่ศูนย์กลางเท่านั้น และเงินจากการโกงกินที่ไม่ใช่สวัสดิการที่ควรได้ ต้องอยู่ในการตัดสินใจของพวกพ้องเดียวกัน  จะใช้งบประมาณทำอะไรก็ได้ตามใจ เสียดายเหมือนกัน บางประเทศพยายามฝ่าฟันระบบสังคมนิยมบางอย่าง เพื่อหวังว่าประชาชนจะเข้มแข็งมีการเมืองภาคพลเมืองยอดเยี่ยมอย่างบางประเทศบ้าง ก็โดนสงครามความแตกต่างหลากหลายของวัฒนธรรม สกัดจนเหลือแต่นักวิชาการพูดปาวๆอย่างเดียว แต่นักปกครองนักการเมืองไม่ยอมคายงบประมาณหรืออำนาจให้แก่พลเมืองหรือท้องถิ่ิน งับกันไม่ปล่อยไม่รู้ประเทศไหน สนับสนุนบุคคลกลุ่มก้อนองค์กรเฉพาะที่อำนวยประโยชน์ส่วนตนส่วนองค์กรหรือเป็นผู้ค้ำผู้กู้ในสัญญาเข้าถึงแหล่งทุนเฉพาะพวกพ้องตัวเอง ไม่น่าจะจริง เพราะพวกป้องกันปราบปรามทุจริตหรือฝ่ายตรวจสอบมือเท้าอ่อนไปหมด รู้ข้อมูลมากมาย รู้ว่ามีการเหนี่ยวรั้งบุคคลากรเป็นรายๆหรือเป็นคนคนหรือเป็นองค์กรไป ด้วยประโยชน์ในการยัดเยียดทั่งทุนทั้งงบประมาณให้สารพัด โดยผูกมัดด้วยเงินภาษีประเทศที่น่าจะเขย่าลงตระกร้าล้างรายชื่อใหม่แบบสุ่มเสียที เพราะคนจนคนด้อยโอกาศคนที่ต้องการโอกาศใหม่ก็ไม่ใช่มีแต่กลุ่มพวกตัวเองเสียหน่อย สนับสนุนกันอยู่นั่นแล้ว ให้ทั้งทุน ทั้งโอกาศ ตั๋วเครื่องบินไปเที่ยวเมืองนอกกับบริษัททัวส์เครื่องประหยัดฟรีๆตังค์เหลือหารกันไป อะไรแบบนี้ น่าจะกล่าวหากัน ไม่เป็นความจริง ประเทศพวกนี้ไม่น่าจะมีอยู่ในโลกที่มีการเมืองภาคพลเมืองสวยหรู น่าจะอยู่ที่อีกฟากจักรวาลนี้ สงสัยน่ะ

New president: dare to have more Europe

Joachim Gauck used his first speech as German President on Friday morning to call for the country to “dare to have more Europe” in times of crisis, and for determination in facing down extremists.

Gauck, who is the first head of state from the former communist east, delivered the impassioned appeal for more European "solidarity" to members of both houses of parliament, in the sunlight-filled main chamber of the Reichstag building.

"We must keep saying yes to Europe," he said. "Particularly in times of crisis, we must dare to have more Europe."

Languishing under the Nazi and then the communist dictatorships had fuelled his dream a united Europe living in peace and prosperity, the 72-year-old said.

"Europe was the promised land for my generation."

Heavy hand of China's censors fuels online frenzy

Bo Xilai's foothold near the summit of the Chinese Communist Party started to crumble recently.

Beijing (CNN) -- Earlier this week, I got an email from a nephew who lives in Japan.

"The Washington Times is reporting coup rumors in Beijing due to the ouster of Bo Xilai," he wrote. "The article talks about tanks and shooting. Be careful!"

He was referring to a spate of alarming reports about a possible military coup in the Middle Kingdom. There were rumors of tanks entering Beijing, roads blocked and shots being fired in the city.

For days these unsubstantiated rumors circulated on the Internet and Weibo, China's Twitter-like micro-blogging service.

This online hysteria came hard on the heels of the shock dismissal last week of Communist Party politburo member and Chongqing party chief Bo Xilai.

But after such a stunning announcement, the mainstream media has failed to follow up with further details, prompting a frenzy of speculation about the reasons behind the move.

This is a question that has China watchers and Chinese themselves puzzling and pondering.

"In the absence of transparency and credible official media, rumors fly," noted Bill Bishop, an independent analyst who closely follows China's Internet and social media industry.

ช่วงนี้กำลังอยู่ระหว่างต้นปีงบประมาณ และกำลังฟื้นฟูประเทศจากภัยน้ำท่วม ทีีประดาสารพัดภาครัฐเอกชนกำลังปลุกปั้นกัน เพื่อให้เกิดเป้าหมายยุทธศาสตร์การช่วยประชาชนไปในทางเดียวกัน ไม่ไปกันคนละทางสองทาง การรีครูตคนเพื่อให้เลือดใหม่ไฟแรงมาทดแทนลุงป้าที่ต้องอำลาไปพักผ่อนทำส่วนตัวกัน คงจะพอได้เงินจูงใจพอที่จะได้น้องเก่งๆเข้ามากัน เพราะพี่ๆป้าๆลุงๆก็ใช่ว่าจะรับกับงานวิชาการหรืองานภาคสนามที่เปลี่ยนตัวชี้เป้าไปเรื่อยๆตามแต่นโยบายเบื้องบนจะบงการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปทุกรัฐบาล และก็พลอยมีผลกับงบประมาณภาษี การหารายได้ของประเทศ รวมไปถึงการเป็นหนี้สาธารณะของปวงชน มันพัวพันอุตลุตไปหมด

งานด้านการต่างประเทศนั้น มีเรื่องการเมืองการค้าการเงินความมั่นคง เข้ามานัวเนียวุ่นวายไปหมด ทุกเป้าประสงคืมิได้มาเพียงสัมพันธภาพ แต่แฝงมาด้วยประโยชน์แอบแฝงทั้งสิ้น ลำพังจะอ้างแต่มนุายธรรม ความมีเมตตาปราณีต่อผองเพื่อนร่วมโลกอย่างเดียวก็ไม่ได้ เป็นเวรกรรมแต่ชาติปางก่อนหรือไร จึงต้องข้ามทวีปข้ามทะเลมาเสวนามาอยู่ในกงกรรมกงเกวียนร่วมกันเช่นนี้ ในชะตากรรมต่างๆกัน

ความที่พวกเราชาวอาเซียนและเอเชียตอนนี้มีเสน่ห์แรงมาก มีผู้ที่ผิดหวังกับการบริหารเศรษฐกิจบ้านเมืองในทางตะวันตกไกลๆต้องมาพึ่งแผ่นดินทางเอเชียอยู่  แม้จะมีสิทธิอาศัยเพียงให้เรียกว่าคนต่างด้าว ก็ขออยู่ อาศัยใช้ชื่อคนไทยไปวันๆได้อาศัยไปทั่วนอกเหนือจากคอนโดที่ทางเจ้าของแผ่นดินเขาอนุญาตให้มีกรรมสิทธิได้ มีพื้นที่ติดดินใช้ชื่อคนอื่น ไปทั่ว เวลาฟ้องเอาคืนวุ่นวายไปหมด เพราะลงทุนหอบเงินค่าเงินสูงมาลงทุนสารพัดทั้งอสังหาริมทรัพยแลตลาดทุน แต่ก็นับว่าคงช้อนซื้อเอากำไรไปหมดแล้วช่วงที่ไฟไหม้บ้างน้ำท่วมบ้างอะไรแบบนี้ บางทีก็ใช้วิธีลดความน่าเชื่อถือประเทศเสียหนอ่ย ในบางประเทศที่ไม่เอาใจพี่ใหญ่ตามนโยบายที่รวมหัวกดดันบางประเทศ อยากคบใครตามใจตัวเองก็ไม่ได้ ต้องตามใจลูกพี่ นับว่าเป็นการแสวงหาอาณานิคมทางเศรษฐกิจในโลกปัจจุบัน นักเศรษฐศาสตร์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญบางท่านออกมาพูดว่า พอมันผูกขาดเทคโนโลยีได้อีกที คราวนี้มันฟื้นแน่ โอ้แม่เจ้า  โปรดรีบเตะสกัดด่วน อย่าให้มันมีความเจริญหรือพัฒนาตัวเอง ต้องใหมันไร้การศึกษา จะอบรมจะฝึกอะไรไม่ต้องให้ได้รับโอกาศ เพราะพวกที่ทำประโยชน์ให้เท่านั้นจึงจะให้ช่องทางทำมาหากิน  ยิ่งมีสื่อทางเทคโนดูดเอาข้อมูลส่วนตัวหรือการสร้างสรรงานใหม่ผ่านโลกออนไลน์ ต้องดูดความคิดมันมาเพื่อการตลาดให้หมด จะได้มีปันผลต่อหุ้นมากๆ โดยเฉพาะบริษัทมหาชนน้องใหม่ของโลกไซเบอรทั้งหลาย   ทรัพยากรบุคคลของลูกพี่ใหญ่จะกระจายไปทั่วโลก เพราะเก็บกำข้อมูลด้านการเมืองเศรษฐกิจการค้าการลงทุนให้ประเทศของตนค้าขายได้ได้ประโยชน์โดยเป็นกึ่งลูกจ้างของภาครัฐ  คนจนในประเทสลุกมาเป็นออคคิวปาย ก็ต้องทำทีเป็นตัดโบนัสผู้บริหารเสียหน่อบพอเป็นพิธี ค่อยให้กันผ่านช่องทางที่เปิดช่องให้ผ่านทางสภาอนุญาตให้ของบางประเทศ



ความที่ห่วงเพื่อนข้ามทวีป จึงเป็นไปได้เพียงนี้ ขอให้วิกฤตของอากาศที่มันเฮงซวยเช่นนี้จงผ่านพ้นไป ไม่ใช่ต้องไปเกิดใหม่เป็นสะเก็ดดาวบนอวกาศโน่น เพราะไม่รู้ใครบอกว่าโลกกำลังจะแหลกสลาย  จากสภาวะอากาศแปรปรวน น่ากลัวจริงๆ ส่วนเรื่องการบริหารจัดการพวกของเหลวที่ประเทศบางประเทศเพื่อผ่านมานะ เห็นพวกเศรษฐีตลาดทุนเขาว่า มันบริหารจัดการได้ด้วยหัวสมองคน ไม่ใช่เกิดจากภัยธรรมชาติกระทำจนป้องกันไม่ได้เสียหน่อย ก็คงมีนายหน้าประกันภัยได้ประโยชน์กับคอมมิชชั่นมหาศาลกันละ สำหรับแผนการป้องกันในโอกาศต่อไป กระจายความเสียงทั้งกับภัยและตลาดหุ้น  และคนจนก็คงมีต่อไป เพราะคนรวยไม่มีทางเปิดช่องให้คนจนได้เงยหน้าอ้าปากกันหรอก ทำให้หน่วยงานภาครัฐของบางประเทศ ได้มีงานทำ ได้มีชนบทได้พัฒนากันต่อไป ชั่วฟ้าดินสลาย ชั่วกาลปาวสาน บางประเทศมีแถมการคอรัปชั่นติดอันดับต้นของโลกด้วย  รายได้คนเก้าสิบเปอรเซนไปหนุนคนสิบเปอรเซนในตลาดทุนอะไรแบบนี้ในประเทศเดี่ยวกัน รายได้ต่างกันราวฟ้ากับเหว  และเพิ่มหนี้ต่อหัวให้ทั่วถึง

Coldest night yet grips Germany

The cold snap that has put much of Europe in a deep freeze reached its chilliest point in Germany on Friday, with minus 27-degree temperatures making for the coldest night of the winter season.

DWD, the German Weather Service said the town of Oberstdorf in the Allgäu region claimed the cold record.

The German capital also saw its coldest night of the year, with temperatures coming in at minus 19 degrees overnight on the southeastern edge of the city, according to newspaper Die Welt

A DWD meteorologist said it was only two degrees warmer around Berlin's Tegel Airport, and said temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees were in the forecast for the nights ahead.

"After that, the frost could tentatively start to ease," she said, but not disappear altogether.

The wave of frosty weather that has rolled in from Siberia has also cut the flow of gas from Russia. Moscow has acknowledged the problem, citing a major increase in demand from the domestic market.

London (CNN) -- Eastern and central Europe continue to shiver under a blanket of heavy snow Friday, with more deaths reported after bitter cold overnight temperatures.

Ukraine is probably the worst affected, with Poland, Romania, Serbia and Belarus also suffering much more severe winter conditions than usual.

Thirty-eight people have died of hypothermia in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, the state-run news agency Ukrinform reported Friday morning, citing government ministries.

The latest deaths take the total number killed in Ukraine in the cold spell that started January 27 to 101, the news agency said.

Meanwhile, temperatures in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, continue to plummet. Friday morning's lows dipped to 27 degrees below zero Celsius (17 degrees below zero Fahrenheit), and it was the ninth day in a row that temperatures had dropped below minus 15 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit).

Twenty-nine people had died in Poland as of Thursday, according to the publicly funded Polish Radio's news website.

Other cold-related deaths have been reported in Serbia, Romania and elsewhere in the past week.

Joe Lowry, spokesman for the International Red CrossEurope Zone, said many people across the region are in urgent need of help.

"If 163 people have frozen to death on the European streets, it is a disaster," he told CNN.

The homeless and elderly are among the most vulnerable, Lowry said, as well as those who often find themselves on the margins of society, such as alcoholics or people with mental health issues.

He said the Red Cross is helping people by providing warm clothing, boots, hot drinks and food, as well as shelter in heated tents and moral support. Local authorities must also react effectively to the crisis to save lives, he said.

The sudden start to the bitter cold weather after what had been a mild winter for some parts of Eastern Europe caught many people unaware, Lowry said.

He added: "The human body is not designed to withstand temperatures of -32 degrees Celsius (about -25 degrees Fahrenheit). If you are not well nourished, if you don't have the right clothes to wear, if you don't have shelter, you cannot possibly stand them for long."

The International Red Cross has released just over €108,000 ($141,000) from its disaster relief fund to help deal with the emergency, with about one-third going to Belarus and two-thirds to Ukraine, an online statement says.

More funds are needed to help pay for supplies, fuel for volunteers' vehicles and publicity to get information out to those in need, Lowry added.

CNN meteorologist Mari Ramos said the challenge now faced by many people is that the cold spell is lasting so long.

The first reports of heavy snow came from Romania on January 26, Ramos said. Now, although temperatures are becoming more moderate, the snowfall will be very heavy, particularly for Bosnia, Serbia, Hungary and Romania. Some areas could get an additional half meter (20 inches) of snow.

Ramos advises people to be "weather aware" in how they dress, making use of layers and keeping dry if at all possible. In extreme temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius (minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit) or lower, exposed skin can freeze in less than 30 minutes, she said -- and even faster if clothing is wet.

People should wear a hat and gloves, and cover their ears, nose and mouth to help them regulate their temperature, she said.

A state of emergency has now been declared in 23 municipalities in Serbia because of the snow, the state-run news agency Tanjug reported Friday.

Six people have died from the cold in Serbia, and one is missing and presumed dead, the news agency Tanjug quoted emergencies official Predrag Maric, of the country's interior ministry, as saying Thursday.

About 11,500 people have been cut off from the world by heavy snowfall, Maric told the agency.

Europe's cold blast extends all the way to Africa, with rare snow falling in parts of the Sahara Desert in Algeria and Morocco, said CNN meteorologist Brandon Miller. More snow is expected this weekend for some areas that see snow fewer than once a decade.

Cold and snow warnings stretch from Portugal to Finland, with 25 countries posting warnings, Miller said.

It's been snowing in central Italy for almost a week and there is more forecast for the next two days.

Ferrari's plans to unveil a new car for the 2012 Formula One season Friday were dashed by heavy snowfall at the Italian team's Maranello factory.

The legendary brand had planned to showcase the new car, which they hope will win them a first drivers' championship since 2007.

Eastern England will see significant snowfall this weekend, including London which could see 5 to 10 centimeters (2 to 4 inches) accumulate.

Temperatures will rebound this weekend in Eastern Europe, but a significant snowstorm will make travel conditions treacherous from the Aegean Sea all the way to Moscow, Miller added.
